Karl had a cruel father, who didn't understand that dwarfism was an incurable condition, so he attempted really primitive and torturous cures. Obviously they didn't work. Karl's father was probably scared of things that were different, so he wanted him to be taller. If I were Karl's father I would have treated Karl like a normal kid. If I had been Karl I would have called CPS.

Adding Scenes
We are including video scenes that help us tell our story. Ayiti uses story telling well. It does this with slides and pictures that say what's happening to your family. Tesla Adventure tells a story. It has different scenes, and they tell a complete story.

It has nothing to do with the topic, but the required blogs page doesn't say the picture has to be relevant, and I couldn't think of a picture that fit this topic. I just thought it was funny.
Yes Austin, I agree with you on what you said about karl's dad. He was very cruel. And why would you be known as CPS??
ReplyDeleteI agree that his dad was terrible. Did CPS exist back then? I doubt it did but it's a nice thought. I love Ayiti! I hope our game is as good as theirs. I love the scuba dog!
ReplyDeleteAs far as adding scenes go, make sure not to overwelm your player with superflous details. A story should augment the gameplay, not detract from is.
ReplyDeleteI toally agree with you on the CPS thing because what kind of father would torture his chiled like that.A father should always love his child. If you try to change your child because they are diffrent then you are not really a parent at all.
ReplyDeleteRemember, a story cant hold a game by itself, try to get a balance between gameplay and story amount, they should be in the same boat, not seperate yachts.
ReplyDeleteFor the adding scene article, I agree that Ayiti was a good game to base things for your game.
