Captains Blog, Stardate 11112011 (Developing A Primary Game Scene)

Developing A Primary Game Scene Blog

One flash topic we are using in our game is collision detection. When the victim touches the items, they appear in his inventory. When the bully touches the victim, the items AND the victim all return to their original positions. Our game will be educational, because it shows real situations. It will improve when we add our video cutscenes. These show a story while also presenting facts about bullies!

  1. Austin, you're game is very interesting, and I can't wait until the end of the year to play it. It seems like it will be a lot of fun. I see where you're collision test comes in, and keep up the good work.

  2. Collision detection is something that is used in pretty much every game. hitTest is just the surface of the subject, I am sure there are many more ways to test collision detection.
