However, car chase scenes are SOOO much better with flying cars.

Captains Blog Stardate 02042013 Flyin' Cars
I'm not such a fan of flying cars. Think about traffic. Traffic is awful. Now, imagine traffic in three dimensions! That would be awful. What about wrecks? The force of a head on collision is bad enough! If you had flying cars that would have the added impact of free fall and crashing. Flying Cars look great and sound like a good idea, but in practice they wouldn't be so great.

Thinking about the traffic, and because of this third demension, wouldn't the total amount of traffic decrease because there is more space for the traffic to move? That is just what I am thinking about. Also, with crashes, just add very strong airbags to the bottom of the car. Have those airbags work in a similar way that driver airbags work, and only have them deploy when the bottom of the car makes contact.

ReplyDeleteFlying cars would be to much of a hazard. I don't think they'll be safe enough.
